I’m kind of over the moon for this particular sweater. Not so much the short sleeved version though. That is because I stumbled across this lovely version. I realized upon wearing my tea leaves cardigan that the tight knit fabric made it drape a bit wonky. There is nothing I like less in a sweater than a wonky fit, seriously. But I do so love the bright red cascade 220 I used and so I am loath to just give the sweater away.
It dawned on me that I don’t have to keep the sweater as is, I can unravel it and try again. I am feeling rather inspired after having followed knitted notes for some time now, she has yarn and just figures out how to do things. It’s the same mentality I had when I started sewing as a wee young thing. Patterns be damned, I am going to sort this sweater out if it kills me. Pardon the hyperbole, what I mean is I will sort this sweater out even if it causes me seemingly endless frustration (which I am sure it will.
